Welcome
Clyde Magee Family Farms in Mize, Mississippi is highly
regarded for producing some of the finest Smith County Watermelons, tomatoes,
cantaloupes, and squash.
The
Magee family farm has been recognized as a "Centennial
Farm" by the State of Mississippi for farming in the Smith County area
for more then 160 years. Clyde Magee has been operating the family farm
since earning his B.S. degree in Fruit and Vegetable Production from Mississippi
State University in 1975.
Produce from the Clyde Magee Family Farm can be found
at the farm or the co-op in Mize and at a stand at the Farmer's Market in Jackson, Mississippi.
Clyde's famous Smith County Watermelons are shipped in season to grocery
stores and markets across the state and as far away as Memphis, Tennessee,
where they have earned a reputation for being the sweetest and best-tasting
melons anywhere.
Despite complications and hardships over the years, including being evicted by the government, Clyde Magee perseveres, continues farming, and works to regain his home and farm of over 30 years. REPOSSESSED FARM-HOME VIDEO

double overtime 15-14. At the end of the 4th quarter, the score was 0-0.
